Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) & the District Development Fund (DDF) sign an MoU today!

We are elated to announce the signing of the MoU between the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) & the District Development Fund (DDF). This MoU sees the introduction of Falcon Air into Hwange National Park providing key connectivity. We are witnessing a significant milestone in the development of our tourism sector with signing of an MoU between us & the District Development Fund (DDF) says ZTA Acting Chief Executive Mr Givemore Chidzidzi. Mr Chidzidzi aslso  congratulates Falcon Air for the inaugural familiarisation tour & launch of the Falcon Air Holiday Packages. It is anticipated that the air service, tour of National Parks & some remote resorts will help geographically spread the benefits of tourism.

 

 

The Minister  of Environment, Climate Change, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Honorable N.M  Ndhlovu  shared that the MoU is in fulfilment of the National Tourism Recovery & Growth Strategy launched by the President Cde E.D Mnangagwa in Victoria Falls. The Minister reiterated that the alternative is too ghastly to contemplate so we remain resolute until the sun rises again & we can all go out to travel safely. He challenged the tourism industry to develop, improve & diversify tourism products. In closing Honorable Minister expressed appreciation for Government support by providing an enabling environment for the sector and  thanked the tourism industry  for keeping the sector on its feet. He urged everyone to strictly adhere to the  COVID-19 regulations.
