World Class Legends in Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is pleased to announce the arrival of the World Class Legends in Zimbabwe on 14 and 15 June respectively. The World Class Legends (WCL) will play an exhibition match against Zimbabwe’s Football Legends on Wednesday 20 June 2018 at the National Sports Stadium and entry is absolutely free.

The names of the WCL that are in the country to promote Destination Zimbabwe include:

The WCL are already touring Zimbabwe with their first stop being Victoria Falls and by the time they leave tours of Kariba, Eastern Highlands, Great Zimbabwe, local suburbs e.g. Mbare, Chitungwiza, Mabvuku, Tafara, Kuwadzana, Kambuzuma, Mufakose and many other high and low density suburbs will be visited by the WCL. The Chief Executive of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Dr K. Kaseke said he was positive that the WCL will definitely market Zimbabwe and encourage more tourism traffic into Zimbabwe.

The exhibition match is absolutely free and the days program starts at 9am when gates open with entertainment lined up for the whole day. Cheerleaders, ZRP Police Band, Alick Macheso and The Ninja President Winky D will entertain the crowd.

The World Class Legends are Tourism Ambassadors who will help market Zimbabwe through various platforms which include social media, print and electronic media. Zimbabweans will get an opportunity to interact with the football legends and a football academy will be built in Harare to promote and develop the sport especially to the under privileged boys.
