Tugwi - Mkosi Dam - Masvingo

A 115km drive from Masvingo City, Tugwi-Mkosi dam is the second largest inland man-made dam in Zimbabwe after Kariba Dam. Built at the confluence of Tugwi River and Mukosi River, the concrete face filled dam wall is a marvel to visitors. The Dam supplies irrigation water to the sugar estates and communal farmers. There are immense investment opportunities available for resort development, accommodation facilities, cable cars, agro-tourism, and harbours among others. Currently activities at the dam include tour of the dam site and picnicking.
