The Mighty Zambezi River
Did you know that the Zambezi river is 2574km long making it the forth longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing river into the Indian Ocean. The river is the source of two major tourist attractions which are the Victoria Falls – one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the Kariba Dam – one of the largest manmade lakes in the world. Along this river are spectacular sceneries, stunning sunsets, great fishing and boating opportunities, coupled with adrenalin activities and exciting sports such as white-water rafting and canoeing. Along various parts of the river one has the opportunity to view animals such as elephants, crocodiles, lions and hippopotamus, making the Zambezi the best place for a holiday.
When travel resumes, we encourage all Zimbabweans to explore the Zambezi River and its environments.
