Gairezi Ecotourism Project Eastern Highlands
The Gairezi Ecotourism Project is a community initiative in Ward 21 of Nyanga District. Situated 35 km from Nyanga town and 20km from Troutbeck Resort, the project offers beautiful scenery, stunning walks, mountain climbing, bike rides, picnic sites and water sports such as white-water rafting and trout fly-fishing. Eco-friendly chalets overlooking the beautiful Gairezi River are available for those in need of accommodation. For large groups such as church outings, and schools, camping facilities are also available. You can also experience the Manyika traditions at the nearby Dapi community village.
Don’t leave without visiting the Nyanga National Park and take a hike at the Nyangani Mountain. Also visit the Nyangombe, Pungwe and Mtarazi falls.
We encourage all Zimbabweans to plan now for a visit to the Gairezi Ecotourism and the surrounding attractions.
Entrance is 2USD
