Advance celebrations of World Tourism Day under the theme "Tourism for Inclusive Growth"

In his address, Honorable Minister Nqobizitha Ndlovu implored ZTA & the industry at large to go overboard, spare no resource in promoting our country as both a beautiful & safe destination as we safely reopen tourism. The supportive Government policies in place have positioned the sector on a positive growth trajectory, however we remain open to continuous policy improvements that are reflective of Industry needs for us to give further impetus to our growth targets. The theme Tourism for Inclusive Growth reaffirms the need to grow tourism inclusively without leaving anyone behind. Every citizen has a role to play in production & consumption of tourism products & services & equally should have the opportunity to benefit from the gains. Some of the rich tourism products in Mashonaland Central Province include the Mazowe Dam, @umfurudzi, Sohwe Falls, the Mavhuradonha Wilderness, Tsambe Game Park & Paradise Pools Resort along the Acadia Dam, where the #WTD2021 celebrations were hosted today. The Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism & Hospitality Industry will work closely with Local Authorities & Community leaders to develop concrete development Plans towards creation of a vibrant tourism led economic growth in the province, it has deployed a Provincial Officer to help derive maximum benefits from tourism. Existing tourism incentives on duty rebates for capital goods are also extended to players that will invest in the Province. The Minister also called the ZTA to re-double marketing efforts of tourism products in Mash Central under the Zimbho Campaign, to promote domestic tourism.
